Erdogan Says Fidan to Represent Turkey in Board of Peace Meeting

(MENAFN) President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Wednesday that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will represent Türkiye at the inaugural meeting of the Gaza Peace Board. Erdogan made the remarks while returning from an official visit to Ethiopia.

He emphasized that Europe cannot establish a credible security framework without Türkiye and expressed hope that this reality is now recognized. Erdogan also highlighted that Türkiye is closely monitoring steps toward full Syrian integration and providing guidance to ensure the agreement’s implementation.

In addition, he reiterated Türkiye’s position on Iran, stating that the country opposes any military intervention in the region.
