Turkey Strongly Condemns Israel’s Attacks on Gaza
In a statement posted on the ministry’s social media platform, it said: “strongly condemns the attacks carried out by Israel today against the Gaza Strip and its continued violations of the cease-fire.”
The ministry emphasized that the strikes come at a critical moment as the peace process in Gaza enters a new phase and cautioned that these attacks jeopardize global attempts to secure calm in the enclave. It also criticized Israel, saying the actions demonstrate that the country “does not want peace in the region.”
“We reiterate that Israel must be made to comply with all provisions of the Peace Plan adopted by UN Security Council resolutions, foremost the preservation of the cease-fire and the unobstructed delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza,” the statement added.
The ministry underscored the importance of the international community fulfilling its responsibilities to advance the peace process. Israeli attacks have killed more than 524 Palestinians since a ceasefire took effect in early October, including 37 in the past 24 hours across different areas of Gaza.
