Turkish President Hosts Official Ceremony for Nigerian Leader Tinubu

(MENAFN) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan formally received Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday during an official ceremony in Ankara.

Tinubu’s motorcade was met by a display of 103 cavalry units along the avenue leading to the Presidential Complex, marking the 103rd anniversary of the Turkish Republic.

Erdogan greeted Tinubu personally at the main entrance of the complex, where the leaders stood together as the national anthems of both countries were played by a military band.

Following the ceremonial welcome, the two presidents posed for photographs in front of their respective national flags before moving on to bilateral and inter-delegational discussions.

The agenda also includes a signing ceremony for bilateral agreements and a joint press briefing.

Senior Turkish officials, including cabinet ministers, presidential advisors, and the governor of Ankara, attended the ceremony.
